The Government’s clear intention is that fishing and hunting are prohibited during the Alert Level 4 lockdown period. Therefore, all hunters and fishermen are asked to do the right thing and stay at home while New Zealand is at COVID-19 Alert Level 4.

We are aware of “The Roar season approaching however we must remind you that heading out to hunt will be a breach of the level 4 lockdown restrictions. Being caught hunting during this time could result in prosecution and/or the loss of your firearms licence.
